IVY Interpreter Dispatch System

※ Regarding the languages in (2), it may take some time to arrange an interpreter. Please contact us as early as possible.
■Fees
1. Actual Interpretation――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
A) Interpreter fee: (when a hospital/autonomous body bears the cost) 1800 yen/1 hour (when the patient/private individual bears the cost) 1200 yen/1 hour (Includes IVY service charge.)
B) Travel Expenses: (The standard is the interpreter's area of residence.) Within the town 1000 yen, to the neighboring city, town, or village 1500 yen, to other areas from 2000 yen.
⇒ Amount cliamed ＝A＋ B ＋ communication expense/postage (80 yen to 240 yen)
※ We will asses an additional charge of twenty percent of the interpreter fee for interpretations performed after 6:00 p.m. (No change in travel expense.)
C) Interpreter fee after 6:00 p.m: (when a hospital/autonomous body bears the cost) 2160 yen/1 hour (when the patient/private individual bears the cost) 1440 yen/1 hour (Includes IVY service charge.)

2. Translation by FAX (medical translation)―――――――――――――――――――――
A) Translation fee: 600 yen / A4 size 1 page
⇒ Amount cliame = 600 yen × number of pages
(Includes IVY service charge.）
※ Basically, limited to those occasions when a person who has visited a medial institution and wishes to communicate with the medical staff. For other translations 4800 yen per A4 size 1 page (36 characters × 36 lines)
3．Telephone interpretation (limited to within the prefecture)
First time each month: Within 15 minutes it is free of charge. When it exceeds 15 minutes it is 500yen. From the second time on for each month: For up to 15 minutes it is 500. From 15 minutes to 30 minutes it is 1000 yen.
■ Request method
1. Actual Interpretation――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
- Please request by the day before. It may take up to 2 days to arrange for a Thai, Tagalog or Russian interpreter, so please make a request as early as possible.
- If you wish to make an additional request for interpretation, do not make the request to the dispatched interpreter, make the request to the IVY office (023-634-9830).
※ In cases of emergency, we will try our best to respond. Please consult withus. A bill will be sent at a later date from the IVY office. Please transfer the payment to the specified bank account. - Dispatched interpreters will be paid by the IVY office.
Additionally, please consult wiht the IVY coordinator concerning all matters relating to the interpretation fee.

- After noting all necessary matters, please transmit to the following fax number. The matters will be translated and transmitted back by FAX.

Distribution of multi-language questionnaries
We distribute questionnaires in foreign languages for foreigners who have trouble with language, or hospitals that examine foreigners. (Produce by Kanagawa International Association / International Community Hearty Konandai)
Languages: 7 language ((Chinese, Korean, English, Tagalog, Portuguese, Thai and Spanish)
Diagnosis and treatment departments: 10 diagnosis and treatment departments (internal medicine department, surgery, pediatrics department, odontology department, ophthalmology department, orthopedics department, dermatology, otorhinolaryngology, neurosurgery and obstetrics and gynecology)
★ For private hospitals and individuals we receive a service fee upon distribution (paper and printing fee/shipping).
